What's going on

I decided that even though no one (not even Esty) checks this blog anymore, I'm going to post here (at least once) about what's going on in my life. Here goes nothing!!

  • I'm fasting right now. It's the 17th of Tamuz, and I don't exactly feel wonderful. Though truthfully, it's not as bad as usual. I can still stand up without my vision swimming - I think. I might not be able to after having sat at the computer for so long.
  • The Sharon fireworks are tonight, right after the fast is over. Because of this, I may not be able to go - which would be very very very sad.
  • The 4th of July is TOMORROW!! Yay!!! I still don't know what I'm doing for it.
  • I only have one day off from work this summer - and it's tomorrow. If you're not understanding the problem, see above.
  • I'm working at a summer camp. Thank G-d I'm in the religious unit, Kehilla. I have a bunk of girls who are going into second grade. They are very cute.
  • Last week, I had 4 kids. This week, I have 8. My co-counselor has a medical problem this week, though. She spent all of yesterday in the hospital, and today mostly just sitting.
  • I have another counselor helping me because of this. Today, I was painfully hungry all day. My regular other counselor was eating ALL DAY because of her medical stuff, and the other counselor ate during lunch (and drank all day) because she faints if she doesn't. Plus, one of my kids refuses to eat her lunch, so i had to sit there, watching her, to make sure that she ate the amount that i told her to. (Meaning that I counted out 10 carrots, 6 spoons of yogurt, etc., etc.....)
  • I really want to get my driver's license, but I can't yet because I haven't done driving hours with the instructor. (and observing hours. Yuck.)
  • Sophie is moving into my house for the summer, so that she can work at this same camp as me, as a lifeguard. Ok, ok, by "moving in" I mean that she'll be staying at my house (in my room, on an air mattress which covers my entire floor) like two or three nights a week. It's a lot of fun.
  • My big bro (and a bunch of his friends) are also working at this camp. In fact, the staff of Kehilla is largely made up of his classmates (if you can call them that, i dunno what they're called once they all graduate) and friends. It leaves me slightly left out... all the time.
  • An awesome part of this camp - they give out YUMMY challah and ice cream every friday. YAY! On the other hand, i have to come up with a skit/song for the kids to do each friday, at oneg. And each week has a specific theme, which the skit/song is supposed to have to do with. This week, with all thats going on with my fellow counselors, guess who making bunk 74's oneg fell to? ME! In the end, though, it's not that bad, because we're doing a combined oneg with another bunk, so i just co-wrote it with them. (I got very lucky, no? The bunk i'm doing it with - one of their counselors is going to be away the rest of the week, so Deborah is glad to have me to work on the oneg with her. At least, I think that she is!)
  • I can't even remember what else is going on!
Ok, I think that does it. If and when I shall return to posting on this blog remains to be seen. You'll just have to wait and see what I feel like!

Wow! This is a memorable moment! Atara has FINALLY (yes, after I have stopped checking it *gasp*) written in her blog. Is this some evil plot to get me to start checking it again? Oh well. Anyways, I never would have checked if not for the link in ur blog telling me that you've added something...so there! Alright, well just keep posting and maybe I'll read it! Wow, I never thought I'd hear those words coming out of my mouth...rather see those words coming out of my hands! Well in any case have a good night!
