HAPPY HAPPY PURIM/ADAR!!!!
ok so this is for rivkah. Everyone else (meaning esty) who reads my blog knows what we did, so rivkah.... enjoy!!!
We turned our classroom into Avraham's tent and the surrounding area. (We're learning the book of genisis [hee hee].) So we treated her like a guest to Avraham's tent. We rolled out the red carpet(made of taped construction paper) and threw confetti when she came in. Then we sat her down. We "washed" her feet (she still had her shoes on) with the silvery blue glittery stuff, made to look like water. Then we took her to a more comfy chair (which we had snitched from the lounge) which was under a tree that we had made (ok next to there wasnt enough space to be under it cuz it didn't have many leaves). We crowned her because she was being treated like royalty. We served bread (a hamantashen), labeled "kosher for Purim, Chaf A" (chaf a as in chaf k but a for avraham), but before she could eat, she had to pass the ten tests. The tests were: we gave her baby pics of us, and she had to guess who was who. eventually, after she did, we served a hamantashen with red filling labled "meat", mustard, and ketchup (reasons for the ketchup and mustard is a longish (ok not so long) story which i'm to lazy to type here. ask me some other time). Then we sang a gromin (i hope u know what that is, cuz i havev no idea how to explain that without singing) and DANCED!!!!!!
The funny thing that happened was that we went to go dance with the junior high at the end of this. We burst into their classroom and began singing "od yeshama" which has recently become our school song. But the problem was, they just kinda stared at us. Well, then Mrs Karp (who was subing since their teacher had a baby) when "wait! stop! their still davening!!!!!"
we never expected them to be davening - it was 9:50! It turned out that they had tefillah class before davening. Oh well, we tried!!!!
Happy Purim to all!!!!!
